Terroir
The place where everything happens
It was in the São João da Pesqueira area that we found the ideal vineyards where the typical varieties of the region are planted.

The place
Our vineyards are located on the south bank of the Douro River, in front of the mouth of the Tua River, in a natural amphitheater of enormous beauty formed by the confluence of the two rivers that delimit the districts of Vila Real, Bragança and Viseu.
The parcels, some of old vines, are all located in the municipality of São João da Pesqueira and are planted with the most typical Douro varieties to give life to our wines: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz in the reds; Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Viosinho, Cercial, Moscatel Galego and Rabigato in the case of white.

“The wines born here are of recognized quality and with unique characteristics in terms of color, structure and aromas.”

Sustainability
Since the beginning of this project, we've adopted a philosophy focused on attention to detail in everything we do: the daily care of the vines, the selection of the best berries, the adoption of traditional winemaking methods, the choice of the best barrels from the most renowned cooperages and the integration of sustainable viticulture practices.
Our vision of sustainability is based on total respect for native flora and fauna, our slopes being the habitat of wild boars, foxes, eagles, kites, hares, partridges and many other species that make this a territory of rich biodiversity.

“The balance between our philosophy and the terroir is the guarantee of a sustainable practice that respects and values the existing biodiversity.”
